ECU OFFERS CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR BEGINNING FRESHMEN
East Central University is in the midst of celebrating its 100th birthday, and as part of the year-long celebration, ECU has established a four-year scholarship for all first-time beginning freshmen.
The university was established on March 25, 1909, as the East Central State Normal School.
"To mark this important milestone, we are offering a special gift for next year's freshmen who will be part of ECU's Centennial Class," said Dr. Duane C. Anderson, ECU's interim president. "Next fall, all beginning freshmen, those who enroll for the first time for the fall 2009 semester, will receive a $100 Centennial Scholarship each semester for four years."
