The mission of the College of Education and Psychology is to provide quality programs that prepare students to enter careers in the fields of Education, Psychology, and Kinesiology (Health and Fitness). The College of Education and Psychology provides educational experiences for the departments of Education, Kinesiology, and Psychology.

The College of Education and Psychology at East Central University strives to provide students with quality, educational experiences to prepare them for the fields of Education, Kinesiology, and Psychology. Bachelor’s degrees offered through the College of Education and Psychology include Early Childhood Education; Elementary Education; Psychology; and Kinesiology.

The Department of Education assists and prepares those seeking degrees or certification in public school teaching.

 

 

Department of Kinesiology

The Department of Kinesiology gives students the means to educate the total person for living in an enlightened society. The study of human movement is the unique content of the Kinesiology program.

Department of Psychology

As a behavioral science, psychology applies the scientific method to greatly enhance the problem-solving abilities of people. Psychology involves the study of behavior and it enables people to better understand themselves and others.
