Dr. Marty Pennington (center), assistant professor of education at East Central University, receives the Outstanding Conference Award for 2011 from the Great Plains Region of the Association for Continuing Higher Education. The award was for “Best Conference” for the Kaleidoscope and Science Spectacular events presented by ECU’s Education Department and Center of Continuing Education. Dr. Robin Plumb (left), chair of the awards committee, and Charlee Lanis, chair of the association and coordinator of ECU’s Community Education Program, presented the award. The conference was held in Muskogee.
