East Central University’s Music Department will present the ECU Jazz Ensemble Concert, under the direction of Kirk Palmer, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 in the Dorothy Summers Theater.

The concert, which free and open to the public, will feature musical selections such as: A Time for Love, Ain’t Misbehavin, Blue Daniel, In a Mello Tone, Mercy Mercy Mercy, Oh Holy Night, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Things Ain’t What They Used to be and I Snore, You Drive.

Playing the alto sax will be Dillyn Stephens, of Norman, and Keagan Purcell, Oklahoma City. Performing with the tenor sax are Anthony Smith, Oklahoma City, and Matthew Zwermann, McLoud. Blake Loy, of Ada (Byng High School), will play the bari sax.

Performing on the trumpet are Lance Reisetter, Ardmore; Blake Pringle, Moore; Chris Bragg, Sulphur, Garrett Crook, Moore (Westmoore High School) and Henry Delacruz, Moore. On the trombone are Cole Kugler, Norman; Corey Burton, Mounds; Shawn Stacey, Idabel; Caleb Dawes, Cushing and Zachary Martin, Ada.

Playing the piano is Steve Filkens, Ada. On the guitar is Dustin Christopher, Healdton and playing the bass are Josh Keith, Ada, and James Droddy, Kingston. The trap set will be played by Woody Clark, Dickson.
