Five finalists are in the running for East Central University's 2010 Homecoming king and queen.

ECU students will vote on Wednesday [OCT. 6] and the winners will be announced at the coronation at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 9 [SATURDAY] at Norris Field before the football game between ECU and the University of the Incarnate Word. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.

Finalists for Homecoming king are:

Jordan Hearod of McAlester is a senior majoring in biology. He represents the Student Association of Family & Consumer Sciences. He is the son of Dana Sandmann and Kevin Hearod.

Jace Jenkins of Fox is a junior majoring in business administration/management. He represents Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity and is the son of Ron and Mary Lu Jenkins.

Jomain McKenzie of Clarendon, Jamaica, is a senior majoring in mass communications. He represents Collage, the university's dance performance ensemble. He is the son of Colleen and Tanumeth McKenzie.

Derek Reed of Pauls Valley is a sophomore majoring in communication studies/musical theatre. He represents the Honors Student Association and is the son of Susan Reed and Toby Reed.

Matt Sweatt of Ada is a senior majoring in business administration. He represents the Business Club and is the son of John and Cindy Sweatt.

Finalists for Homecoming queen are:

Kelsey Creed of Ada is a senior majoring in music. She represents Collage, the university's dance performance ensemble. She is the daughter of Kelly and Vicki Creed.

Natalie May of Prague is a senior majoring in communication studies/speech teacher certification. She represents Chi Omega sorority and is the daughter of Vicki May.

Jessica McKennell of Ardmore is a sophomore majoring in communication studies/communication. She represents the Baptist Student Union. She is the daughter of Dama and Chuck McKennell.

Christina Moore of Frisco, Texas, is a junior majoring in business administration/marketing. She represents Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and is the daughter of Gary and Mary Moore.

Danielle Tate of Atwood is a senior double majoring in elementary education and business administration/management. She represents the Business Club. She is the daughter of Thad Tate and Marilyn Starts.
