A public hearing on Feb. 19 [TUESDAY] will offer an opportunity to discuss the strengths of and any concerns about East Central University's Teacher Education Program. Recommendations also can be made for changes to the program.

The hearing will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Room 7 in the lower level of ECU's Education Building.

Dr. Bill Osborne, dean of the College of Education and Psychology, will present an overview of ECU's current program and of National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education requirements. He also will discuss the design of Professional Education/Field Experiences, the undergraduate program enrollment and graduate programs at ECU.

A question-and-answer session will follow.

The meeting will be sponsored by the ECU chapter of Phi Delta Kappa and will be held to comply with regulations outlined in Oklahoma H.B. 1549.
