The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will be honored by East Central University Saturday [OCT. 30] at the Pink Out football game between ECU and Northeastern State University. The game will kick off at 2 p.m. at Norris Field and will be the Tigers' last home game this season.

ECU will show its appreciation of the Ada Area Chamber by offering four free tickets to each business that is a member of the chamber. To receive tickets, contact Jamie Green atjgreen@adachamber.com or call the chamber office at 580-332-2506, Ext 2.

Before the game, ECU will host its second annual Trunk or Treat from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on the north side of the Norris Field parking lot. More than 25 ECU organizations and departments will offer candy to youngsters. Some of the vehicles will be decorated, and a contest for the Best Decorated Car will award a traveling trophy to the winner.

The trunk or treat also will offer a tailgate with free hotdogs, chips and beverages for ECU students.

Anyone wearing a Halloween costume will be admitted free to the game and anyone wearing a pink shirt will receive $2 off the cost of a ticket.

The ECU chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority is encouraging football fans to wear pink instead of orange to the Pink Out game as part of its Think Pink activities during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Zetas across the country hold special events in October to increase awareness about early detection and to raise funds for breast cancer education and research.
