Collage, East Central University’s dance ensemble, and other dance students will present their “Sharing Spaces” spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday [APRIL 27-28] in the Chalmers Herman Theatre in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.

Among Collage’s dances will be “Tag You’re It” and “Aggressive Epithet,” two pieces the ensemble performed in March for adjudication at the American College Dance Festival Association's Central Region Conference. Nearly 30 other colleges and universities performed at the conference which was held at Missouri State University.

Student Chris Scoles will present his senior project, “Quickened Unto the Light,” a piece about relationships performed by Collage’s primary and secondary dancers.

Other student choreographers include Nikki Hayes, Heath Holt, Natalie Isaacs, Katelyn Miller, Kaitlin Moore and Emily Randolph.

Also performing will be students in Dr. Victoria Dansby’s Movement for the Stage class and Modern Dance II class.

The entire cast will be featured in the finale, “Shared Space,” which Dansby set to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”
