All area teachers and administrators are invited to experience one of the most innovative STEM teacher professional development events in Oklahoma at the new Pitsco Makerspace, housed in the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning in the Lanoy Education Building at East Central University.

Pitsco Education’s Bill Holden, a.k.a. “Dr. Zoon,” along with other Pitsco staff, will be on hand to welcome area educators in one of four different sessions on May 19 or May 20. The mid-high and high school sessions are from 9 a.m.-noon on May 19 and May 20 while the early childhood and elementary sessions are from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on May 19 and May 20.

This free workshop will provide pre-k through 12th grade educators with an Educational Makerspace overview, an introduction to the engineering design process and Makerspace learning activities. Each educator will get to keep what they build during the workshop, along with materials to make an additional KaZoon kite on their own. Educators will also receive printed materials and a USB flash drive with user guides for Pitsco Makerspace kits.

There are 30 spaces available for each session. Please register through Eventbright at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pitsco-makerspace-stem-experiences-middlehigh-school-educators-tickets-25059231837  for the mid-high and high school sessions and at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pitsco-makerspace-stem-experiences-elementary-school-educators-tickets-25060112471 for the early childhood and elementary sessions.
