Two appointments have been announced in the East Central University of School of Business as Dr. Pat Fountain has been named director of the Oscar L. Parker Center for the Advancement of Ethical Standards in Business and Society, and Stacey Bolin will be the director of the Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship.

“Dr. Fountain will be moving into the Parker Center office and will begin to execute his plan for the upcoming academic year,” said Dr. Wendell Godwin, dean of the ECU School of Business. “This appointment is for a three-year period as dictated in the endowment agreement. He has some exciting plans for the ethics center as outlined in the three-year plan.”

ECU’s new Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business and Conference Center, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2013, has funding support of the Wilburn L. Smith family. The building will have a suite of offices dedicated to the new Center for Entrepreneurship as well as a classroom for Entrepreneurship on the second floor.

“Stacey will continue to teach a split-course load during the 2012-13 academic year. She will move over to the School of Business as a full-time faculty member, effective next fall,” Godwin said. “We will continue to work toward a model for funding for the Center of Entrepreneurship. Since Stacey is the camp director for Oklahoma Business Week, I will align the summer camp under the Center of Entrepreneurship as well.”
