Dr. Caruthers served as a school superintendent in Oklahoma public schools for over 15 years and has also served as a history teacher, school counselor, principal, and special education director over a 30+ year career in common education prior to joining ECU as Director of Educational Leadership. He is a two-time ECU graduate with both a BA and MEd from ECU.
