Athletic Training Services
Medical Insurance Information
All East Central University student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, student-coaches, student-athletic trainers, student-managers, cheerleaders, and pom squad members are required to have primary medical insurance which will provide a minimum benefit of $2,500.00 and does not exclude intercollegiate athletic participation.
Failure to have medical insurance will result in the student not being able to participate with their team. A photocopy of the front and back of the insurance card as well as a completed ECU Insurance Form must be on file with the ECU insurance secretary prior to August 1st each year in order for your son or daughter to begin/continue participation with their team.
Every year ECU will mail out an Insurance Packet to all returning and incoming ECU student-athletes, student-coaches, student athletic trainers, student managers, pom squad members, and cheerleaders. The packet will contain an Insurance Letter, a copy of the Athletic Medical Insurance Policy, and an Insurance Form to be returned to the Athletic Training using the enclosed envelope.
