DR. SANTA VELEZ JOINS FACULTY AT EAST CENTRAL UNIVERSITY

ADA – Dr. Santa G. Velez of Norman, a nationally certified school psychologist, has joined the faculty of East Central University in Ada as an assistant professor of psychology.
She had been a certified school psychologist for Norman Public Schools since 1997. She also is a licensed professional counselor in Oklahoma and was a licensed psychologist in Missouri and Iowa.
Velez has been an adjunct instructor at the University of Missouri and Oklahoma City Community College. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University; a master’s degree in school psychology from Brooklyn College, City University of New York; and a doctorate in educational/school psychology from the University of Texas-Austin.
