How do I find a job on campus?
Many students find it easy to work on campus either in the federal work study program or non work study. The only difference in the two programs is that to qualify for the Federal Work Study Program students must meet eligibility criteria.
Below are some frequently asked questions about student employment.
Q. Who is eligible to work on campus?
A. Any student enrolled at least half time.
Q. How do I know what jobs are available?
A. Jobs are often posted on the bulletin board outside the Financial Aid office. On campus, the login screen also lists some job postings.
Q. What do I need to do after I am hired?
A. You will need to complete a work permit, loyalty oath, I-9 form and a drug policy statement. You can request these forms from the Financial Aid office. You will need show two forms of ID, usually a driver's license or picture ID, as well as your Social Security Card or birth certificate.
Q. How and when will I be paid?
A. Checks are distributed on the 15th of each month at the Bursars Office located in 108 Admin.
Q. What is the rate of pay?
A. $6.55 is currently the minimum wage.
