Ms. Bailey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Kansas State University in 1994, with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Sociology. After a short stint in radio and television, she worked in residential facilities for teenagers, and then began work in the Kansas child welfare system. Ms. Bailey went on to earn her Masters of Social Work at Newman University in 2001 and began working in Wichita's Title 1 schools. In spring 2006, she returned to child welfare as a case manager for children with special needs and determining the appropriate level of care for children in state's custody. She moved to Ada in December 2008, where she has spent the majority of her time serving in the mental health field, and has since earned her license as a clinical social worker.
