Apply for acceptance online and Freshmen who are Oklahoma residents will be automatically considered for the following ECU Scholarships (excluding Teacher's Promise, Honors Program & ECU Foundation).

East Central University Scholarships

ASAP Scholarship

  • Amount
    • $1,750 Scholarship ($1000 for tuition & $750 for housing)
  • Eligibility
    • First Time ECU Student (Freshman, Transfer, or International). Returning and Current ECU students aren't eligible.
    • You must be enrolled full-time which is at least 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students.
    • You must live on campus in the residence hall. 
    • You must have a job and work at least 10 hours per week.
    • Scholarships will be awarded closer to the start of the semester and we will confirm that you have met these conditions before the scholarship is awarded.

Oklahoma's Academic Scholar

  • Amount
  • Tuition: Full Tuition
  • Room: $10,000 ($1,250 x 8 semesters)
  • Cash Award: $20,000 ($2,500 x 8 semesters)
  • Eligibility
  • 99.5 percentile on national ACT/SAT.

Academic Scholar Institutional Nominee

  • Amount
  • Tuition: Full Tuition
  • Room: $10,000 ($1,250 x 8 semesters)
  • Cash Award: $12,800 ($1,600 x 8 semesters)
  • Eligibility
  • Achieve one of the following: 30 on national ACT/SAT OR 3.8 unweighted GPA AND rank in Top 4% graduating class.

Baccalaureate Scholarship

  • Amount
  • Tuition: Full Tuition
  • Room: $10,000 ($1,250 x 8 semesters)
  • Cash Award: $14,000 ($1,750 x 8 semesters)
  • Eligibility
  • Minimum 30 ACT on national ACT test and minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA.

Governor's Scholarship

  • Amount
  • Tuition: $12,000 ($1,500 x 8 semesters)
  • Room: $10,000 ($1,250 x 8 semesters)
  • Eligibility
  • 28+ on a national ACT

 

President's Leadership Class

  • Amount
    • Additional $4,500 ($750 x 6 semesters) after successful completion of PLC
  • Tuition: $1,500 ($750 x 2 semesters)
  • Room: $1,500 ($750 x 2 semesters)
  • Eligibility
  •  500 and Up AND successful interview.

Academic Distinction Scholar

  • Amount
  • Tuition: $8,000 ($1,000 x 8 semesters)
  • Eligibility
    • 640 and Up
       

Academic Achievement Scholar

  • Amount
    • Tuition: $5,200 ($1,300 x 4 semesters)
  • Eligibility
    • 605 and Up
       

Academic Freshman Scholar

  • Amount
    • Tuition: $1,500 ($750 x 2 semesters)
  • Eligibility
    • 567 and Up

Academic ECU Scholar

  • Amount
  • Tuition: $2,000 ($250 x 8 semesters)
  • Eligibility
  • Below 566

President's Leadership Class

  • Amount
  • Tuition: $2,000 ($250 x 8 semesters)

  •  500 and Up AND successful interview.

May be combined with ECU scholarships. Oklahoma residency is not required.
