Black Alumni Association Affiliation
The ECU Black Alumni Association was established in 2018 with the following vision and mission.
Vision:
The East Central University Black Alumni Association (ECU-BAA) was established to enhance the college experience of the African American students on campus, through awarding scholarships to deserving students, and providing opportunities for students and alums of color to socialize and network.
Mission:
The Mission of the ECU-BAA is to aid and support East Central University in its endeavors to provide a thriving network to connect, advocate, and empower current and future ECU Black Alumni, students, faculty, staff and community members. The Black Alumni Association was formed in 2018 to meet the needs of an increasing number of African American students on campus, and to provide an avenue for alums and BAA members to give back to the University. Your donation to our activity fund will assist our organization in bringing events to campus to promote the accomplishment of our people, to promote African American Heritage, and assist our university in recruiting and attracting more students of color to campus.
