If you are a Veteran, National Guard Member, or Reservist who is interested in starting your education and advancing your career, Veterans Upward Bound can help!

Veterans Upward Bound is a federally funded grant program designed to provide supportive services to military service members and veterans in an effort to ensure successful entry or re-entry and completion of a post-secondary program of study.

Veterans Upward Bound has trained Academic Counselors who are ready to assist you in preparing for any vocational/technical school or college – no matter its location.

No matter what your particular needs may be, Veterans Upward Bound can help.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE

• Identifying a Career Goal, Program of Study and School
• Obtaining Military and other transcripts
• Financial Aid Assistance
• GI Bills and other VA educational benefits information
• Instruction/Tutoring in English, Math, etc.
• Preparation for entrance exams
• Workshops in time management and study skills
• Academic Counseling
• Referrals

NOTE: We serve National Guard Members with as little as 30 days active duty time! (This includes training time)

OUR MISSION

The mission of East Central University – Veterans Upward Bound Program in the support of the University and the Division of Student Development, is to provide U.S. Military Veterans with the supportive services that will ensure they have the motivation and skills to enter and graduate from a post-secondary institution.
