Ada, Okla. – East Central University Greek Life chapters recently came together for the annual Greek Week Competition the first week of April.

All ECU Greek Life chapters competed in a variety of events such as a pickleball tournament, chariot races and a lip-sync battle to gain points towards their Greek Week total. Each year, the chapter that earns the most points are crowned the Greek Week Champions.

During the week, all participating chapters collect hygiene items as a last attempt to gain the most points towards their Greek Week total. The hygiene items that are collected are then donated to Mama T’s Bread and Blessings: Transitional Living Community in Ada.

On April 3, representatives from ECU Greek Life chapters hand-delivered 4,795 hygiene items to Mama T’s.

The purpose of the hygiene drive is for ECU Greek Life chapters to come together during a week of competition and give back to the Ada community. Based on service and scholarship, ECU Greek Life members are student leaders who never hesitate to serve others when needed.

Participating chapters included: Gamma Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Kappa Tau, Pi Kappa Alpha.
