ADA, Okla. – Three East Central University students from Pauls Valley, Okla. have been featured in the 2026 volume of ECU’s literary journal, “Originals.”

Kaylynn Potts had three poems featured, titled, “All American Man,” “I Miss You,” and “American Education.”

Sarah Christensen, a student editor for the 2026 volume of “Originals” also had three poems featured, titled, “Before You,” “Hope,” and “Three Flowers.”

Lezlee Henshaw-Earnhart had two pieces of artwork featured. Her piece titled “held tension” was chosen as the cover art for the volume, while her piece “loose order” is featured inside.

“Originals” is an annual literary journal that has been a fixture of ECU since the 1950’s, with its predecessor dating back to 1912. The journal offers students, staff and faculty from any department across campus an opportunity to submit their writings or artwork for potential publication.
