Percussion Ensemble

Percussion Ensemble
The ECU Percussion Ensembles form the core of the university’s percussion program, offering students a variety of performance opportunities across multiple styles and ensemble formats.
Open to all percussion students in the ECU Band Program, this group performs up to four concerts per year, focusing on both conducted and non-conducted chamber works from the 20th and 21st centuries.
Examples of percussion ensembles at ECU are but not limited to: African Ensemble, Concert Percussion Ensemble, and “Tiger Steel” Pan Ensemble.
The ECU percussion area recently has performed as an Honor Group at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association Conference, competed in the Chamber Ensemble Contest at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, and performs annually at the Oklahoma Days of Percussion.
