At ECU, students of all majors have the opportunity to perform in a range of dynamic vocal ensembles—from large choral groups to competitive touring ensembles and staged opera productions. Whether you're studying music or simply love to sing, there's a place for you here.
ECU Singers
Open to All Students – No Audition Required
The ECU Singers is the largest choral ensemble on campus, featuring approximately 100 student vocalists. This non-auditioned group welcomes singers from all majors and backgrounds.

University Chorale
Select Touring Ensemble – Audition Required
The University Chorale is ECU’s premier vocal touring ensemble, open by audition. While many members are
music majors, students from other disciplines are also represented.

Tours have included Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas

Qualified for the World Choir Games "Champion of Champions"

Featured performer at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association State Conference (5x)

Members have also performed with ACDA All-Collegiate Choirs in St. Louis and Denver
Opera Workshop
Offered Each Fall Semester – Audition Required for Principal Roles
The ECU Opera Workshop brings music and theatre students together for fully staged productions as part of
the Fine Arts Series at ECU’s Ataloa Theater, located in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.
