Job Description Job Title: Campaign Project Manager

Reports to: Sr. Advancement Officer

FSLA: Non-Exempt

Salary: $50,000

East Central University and the East Central University Foundation are entering into a Capital Campaign with a third-party consulting firm, the J.F. Smith Group. We are looking for a highly motivated, full-time employee to coordinate all activities of the campaign between the three entities, East Central University, East Central University Foundation, Inc., and the J.F. Smith group (JFSG). Job responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works closely with the JFSG team and the advancement staff to ensure that onsite visits and accompanying meetings are scheduled appropriately.

• Attends all advancement staff training. • Schedules solicitation appointments for campaign leadership and JFSG consultants.

• Prepares files for assigned prospective donors. • Oversees the preparation of profiles and contact reports on prospective donors, as well as lists for prospect evaluation sessions.

• Acknowledges and maintains totals on all campaign cash gifts, pledges and gifts-in-kind.

• Implements and maintains a pledge reminder system to encourage maximum fulfillment of pledges.

• Prepares and disseminates courtesy invoices as needed.

• Generates all correspondence related to the campaign, including acknowledgement letters, thank you letters, committee meeting reminders, etc.

• Generates, binds and distributes all proposals related to the campaign in conjunction with the ECU Marketing Department.

• Maintains a campaign calendar with appointments and meetings.

• Generates appropriate notices of meetings; notifies volunteers and campaign personnel.

• Tracks volunteer assignments and generates committee reports.

• Maintains supplies-printed and otherwise-for the campaign.

• Possible weekend and overnight travel will be required

• Other duties as assigned

Essential Functions

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with supervisors, co-workers, students, alumni, and friends of the institution and other members of the University community.

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Must have experience managing projects in a fast-paced, multifaceted organization.

• Must have knowledge of marketing strategies and brand value.

• Must have the ability to develop and execute short-term and long-range strategic plans.

• Must have the ability to organize a variety of projects and priorities.

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.

• Must maintain confidentiality.

• Must have the ability to travel and to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.

• Preference will be given to candidates with Blackbaud database experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum of three years of work experience in an office setting with programs such as public information, fund-raising, not-for-profit, or sales and marketing preferred. Demonstrated experience working with volunteers; proven communication skills; and excellent interpersonal, and organizational skills are highly desired.
