Job Title: Events Coordinator

Summary:
This person will manage events that happen in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center (Fine Arts Center) theaters and related spaces. They will be responsible for maintaining the technical aspects of the theater spaces and making certain they are operational and prepared for use. The Events Coordinator will also be a part of the overall Events Department and assist with other on and off campus events as needed and available. This position requires a blend of administrative proficiency, organizational skills, technical theater knowledge and abilities, and a passion for the arts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Event Coordination: Assist in planning, organizing, and executing ECU and community events such as exhibitions, performances, workshops.
• Fine Arts Center Management: Assist in maintaining the theaters and related spaces, including applicable technology and equipment.
• Project Management: Support the implementation of projects related to the arts center’s strategic initiatives, tracking deadlines, milestones, and budgets as directed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, compile reports, and prepare presentations as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, faculty, students, and external stakeholders to foster a collaborative and productive environment.
• Financial Management: Assist with budget monitoring, expense tracking, and processing financial transactions as required.
• Office Management: Maintain office supplies, equipment, and ensure the smooth operation of administrative systems within the Fine Arts Center.
• Oversight: Schedule and manage student workers who will assist in setting up and running events.
• Requires occasional evening and weekend work to support events and activities.
• Ability to travel as needed for conferences, performances, and donor meetings.
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example.
• Must be a professional, credible, and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Events or designee.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A minimum of 2 years experience in a related field is mandatory.
• Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably in an arts or cultural organization.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of professionalism.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
• A passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting the mission and vision of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.
• A strong working knowledge of all aspects of technical theater theory and equipment.

Salary Range: $30,000 to $35,000 (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)
