Job Title: Housing Coordinator

Summary:
The Housing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Residence Life in the operations of the department. This position coordinates aspects of the Residence Life program related to housing selection, physical plant liaison, summer camps and special projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the housing selection/sign-up process.
• Assist Director of Residence Life in the development and implementation of Residence Director training.
• Assist Director of Residence Life in the continued assessment and development of Resident Assistant Training procedures and curriculum.
• Coordinate Summer Camp/conference schedule with other campus offices.
• Collaborate with Facilities Services regarding physical needs of buildings.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed.
• Serve on campus committees as needed.
• Represent department in absence of Director of Residence Life.
Room Management:
• Work with Hall Directors on room changes and update.
• Update Housing Application as necessary.
• Update Summer Conference schedule.
• Coordinate with Physical plant on cleaning schedule.
• Provide weekly #’s to Director and individual halls and overall.
• Regularly check to ensure enrolled.
• Process all exemption forms.
• Work with Admissions to maintain Freshman Living Requirement.
• Send out assignment letters.
Office Management:
• Answer housing phone calls and refer as necessary.
• File all necessary documents, applications, etc.
• Hire and supervise office student workers.
Software/Database Management:
• Add / remove student charges as necessary.
• Add /remove/ edit student charges (room change/ meal plan/ move out).
• Ensure that all students living on campus are enrolled.
• Keep record of budget.
Maintenance:
• Coordinate spraying dates with AC and Hall Director and contractor.
• Ensure all rooms cleaned after being emptied.
• Acquire damages/charge info from AC/ Physical Plant and put on account.
• Fax /Call in Maintenance requests as necessary.
• Maintain a monthly key inventory.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Ed Administration, Counseling or related field preferred. Weekend and evening work expected. Previous Housing and Residence Life experience is required. Knowledge of East Central University operations is preferred.

Salary Range: $38,000 - $40,000
