Local attorney, Jason Christopher, will share his journey to ECU, law school, then on to be a successful local attorney serving the population of Pontotoc County.
Jason Christopher is an Ada Native. He graduated from Ada High School in 1989 and East Central University in 1994 with a degree in Political Science. He and his wife Karla were also married in 1994, and he started law school at the University of Oklahoma that fall. He clerked for the Pontotoc County District Judge in 1995 and worked for the Pontotoc, Hughes and Seminole County District Attorney’s Offices as a legal intern from 1996 to 1998. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law School in 1997 and accepted a position as the Atoka County Assistant District Attorney in 1998. He held that position for 4 years until he returned to Ada to open his own law practice in 2002. Jason has tried over 50 criminal and civil jury trials, including 3 first degree murder cases. He has tried cases in state, tribal and federal courts. Jason’s practice areas include criminal defense, civil litigation, divorce, probate and general trial work.
In addition to his practice, Jason also serves as an associate bar examiner for the Oklahoma Bar Association. He also serves municipal judge for Tupelo and Stonewall and is an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Law at East Central University.
