The Oka' Institute will be joining the Ada Chamber of Commerce in an official ribbon cutting ceremony. Oka is joining the Chamber of Commerce as a member to recognize the relationship between the Oka Institute and the community support of Ada. The Oka Institute is a collaboration between the East Central University, the Chickasaw Nation, and the City of Ada. The Oka Institute creates projects and works through grants that are designed to benefit communities, citizens, water resources, and landscapes with a focus on beneficial use of water and sustainable water solutions. The joining of the Chamber recognizes the role of the Oka Institute in supporting the Chamber and activities of Ada for a reliable water future through water planning, sustainable communities, land stewardship, and water research.
