Have you ever wondered how bread rises, your body relaxes, or how sunscreen protects you from the sun? The answer is chemistry! Learn about the fascinating world of molecules and chemistry at East Central University's the Molecules of Nature Summer Academy. This residential camp is designed for 8th and 9th graders and will be held on ECU's campus in Ada, June 2-7, 2024. Through hands-on exploration, students will synthesize molecules that are important in fields such as medicine, food processing and agriculture. Students will be immersed in the college experience, gaining knowledge of high-tech laboratory equipment and safety. Students will also enjoy a field trip to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and leave the camp understanding how to pursue numerous STEM degrees.
