Come listen to an employee from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation relate the bridge failure in "The Bridge of San Luis Rey" with the aging bridges across the nation today and what is being done to remedy the problem.

Take part in a bridge building contest that will also be taken to surrounding public schools. Participants will receive craft (popsicle) sticks and glue to construct bridges in an effort to involve people of all ages in the community as part of 'Big Read' events. You can enter your bridge into the competition as a group or individual or you can just build for the fun of it.
