  • Sept. 27, 2 p.m. Linscheid Library Atrium: "Teaching Stormtroopers to Read: Comics and Cultural Warfare”
    • Jennifer Dorsey and Joshua Grasso talk about comics and cultural censorship, and invite people to participate in a roundtable discussion.
  • Sept. 28, 6 p.m., Linscheid Library atrium: Oklahoma Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee speaks about the effects of book bans

Wes Watkins Remarks and Book Signing

Former Congressman Wes Watkins will speak and later sign the book "Making Things Better: Wes Watkins' Legacy of Leadership." U.S. Congressman Tom Cole and Judge Kim D. Parrish will be there as well.

"Smallpox: Eradicating the World's Deadliest Disease - A Personal Experience"

In the Stanley Wagner Ballroom of the Memorial Student Union Building

Vince Radke will speak about his five years of experience as a field worker, eradicating smallpox in Africa during the early 1970's. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in biology and was recruited to join the World Health Organization effort to eradicate smallpox.
