Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology

The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at ECU is ideal for students interested in careers in health clubs, fitness centers, hospital wellness programs, cardiac rehab, and sports medicine clinics. This degree focuses on human movement and prepares students to promote health and wellness in a variety of settings.

Students take core Kinesiology courses along with specialized classes in Exercise Science, including training in exercise testing, prescription, and leadership. Many graduates are equipped to work with special populations—such as senior adults—or pursue careers as physical trainers. A minor in Kinesiology is also available.

To meet the needs of our students, all Kinesiology courses are offered in flexible formats—either in person or fully online. Each course is offered at least once per year.
