Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program Option (0894)

The Master of Science: Clinical Mental Health Counseling is a 60-hour program, delivered in a fully online synchronous format.  For tuition and fee information, please visit the Office of the Bursar

This degree prepares counseling professionals for employment in a variety of public and private settings. This training program affords students opportunities to gain the knowledge necessary to become highly-skilled professional counselors meeting the demands clinical mental health counseling. Students completing the program will satisfy the educational and clinical training requirements to be eligible for licensure (Licensed Professional Counselor-LPC). An applicant for admission to the program must show evidence of professional potential. This option is fully accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Specific Admission Requirements

  1. Undergraduate Cumulative GPA: 3.0
  2. Interview to assess essential dispositions

Thesis
Clinical Mental Health Counseling does not require a thesis.

Practicum/Internship
Clinical Mental Health Counseling requires three (3) internship courses to complete this degree.  The three (3) internship courses require a minimum of 600 hours for each course.
