Retention, or the ability to help our students persist to graduation, is very important at ECU. Retention is the responsibility of the entire University.
Our Commitment to Our Students
The Academic Success Center works closely with faculty and staff across campus to support our students as they begin their first semester at ECU, work toward degree completion, and walk across the stage at graduation. Using a Tiger Alert retention program, faculty and staff are able to let us know about students who may benefit from our tutoring and writing peer review services or other resources on campus. Our Retention Specialist helps students develop study skills, set effective goals and learn to manage time effectively. We are glad to meet with students to help them develop a plan for academic success.
