How do I make a gift to ECU?

East Central University Foundation can accept gifts via many different methods. Listed below are the most common through which you can make your gift.

  • Online Gifts - ECU's secure online giving forms are the easiest and quickest way to make your gift. The Foundation accepts all major credit cards as well as direct debits from your checking or savings account.
  • Gifts by Mail - Mail your gifts to:
    • East Central University Foundation, Inc.

    • Please make checks payable to East Central University Foundation, Inc.
  • Gifts by Phone - Please call the Foundation Office. 
  • Gifts of Stock or Securities - Contributing securities or appreciated stocks and bonds is a tax-wise way to show support of ECU. You can make a difference by electronic transfer or by certificate. 
  • Gifts of Real Estate - There are many options for donating your home, second home, commercial building, raw land, farm, or other real estate to ECU. There may be a gift plan available that will help you achieve your charitable and financial goals with a gift of real estate.  

Where can I give?

You may designate your contribution to any of ECU's colleges, schools, programs, library, special initiatives, scholarship funds, or endowments.

How much of my gift is tax deductible?

That depends on the nature of your gift, but most gifts are at least partly deductible. If you receive any goods or services in return for your gift, such as auction items or tickets, the fair-market value of those items is not tax deductible.

Can I make a gift in installments?

Yes, donors often pledge gifts to be paid over time.
