The East Central University Veterans Upward Bound staff would like to invite you to join us for Veterans and Military Appreciation Day on Thursday, May 15, 2014, in the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center, 830 E Main, Ada. It will begin at 11:00 am.
ADA – The 8th Annual Tim Green All-Sports Golf Classic date has been set for Monday, June 23 at Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course in Purcell, Okla. The event is sponsored by East Central University, the ECU Foundation and Tiger Athletics, with the title sponsor being Patriot Ford.
This year’s tournament is a single afternoon flight. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and the four-person scramble set to start at 1 p.m., with a lunch provided.
"We are so honored to carry on a tradition that honors the legacy of Dr. Tim Green, long-time ECU Director of Athletics. This event reunites the Tiger Athletics family in support of the current Tiger Athletic programs,” said Director of Athletics Dr. Jeff Williams. “Every year this fun day is well attended by many prominent Tigers, including 1968 graduate and 1986 distinguished alumnus Dr. Gil Morgan.”
Dr. Morgan, ECU alumnus and PGA Champions Tour Professional, will also host a clinic for participants at 12:30 p.m.
The entry fee for the scramble is $150 per person, with $105 eligible for a tax deduction. Registration can be completed with the attached brochure, online or by phone at 580-559-5604.
Sponsorships are also available at varying levels, starting with a Hole Sponsorship for $200.
“We would like to thank Patriot Ford and Dr. Morgan for their contributions in making this annual event successful in raising funds which helps move Tiger Athletics forward,” added Williams. “Also special thanks to Mike Gowens and John McCurdy at the Bruehl Memorial Golf Course for hosting us again this year.”

Dr. Duncan will be on the ECU Campus to talk about PTSD/TBI and Hyperbaric Treatment options that are being offered free for veterans. Dr. Duncan hopes to make this available in Ada in the very near future.

This workshop will focus on prescription drug abuse, common drugs of abuse, the prescription monitoring program, and laws regarding prescription drugs.

The Honors Fall Showcase will be held in Synergistic Learning Rooms 1 and 2 in the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center.
Honors Homecoming will be October 25th from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will be located in Faust Hall, 159.
