The DDS Training Grant provides the curriculum needed to become a competent and efficient medication administration technician (MAT) for staff serving people with developmental disabilities. In addition to MAT certification, various other classes are offered to explore the ethical and legal responsibilities of the job, as well as skills needed to help enrich the lives of those with disabilities. Those classes include: Health Day 1 & 2, Ethical & Legal Issues, Communication, Connections/Nuts & Bolts, Skill Building and Responsible Recordkeeping.  Supervisory classes offered include: Creative Problem Solving, Ethics in the Workplace, So Now You're a Supervisor, Stress Management, Responsible Recordkeeping for HTS, and DD and the Aging Process.

All class times: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.


Job Specific - Residential Training
DD MAT, DD MAT Update, Health Day 1, Health Day 2, Ethical & Legal Issues, Communication, Connections/Nuts & Bolts, Skill Building and Responsible Recordkeeping.

Effective October 1, 2015:  DD MAT certification is good for 2 years, instead of the previous one year.
