New classes have been added to East Central University's spring Community Education Program and popular classes will be offered again for people who missed the winter sessions.

Two new classes for children include Equine I, Teaching Safe Horsemanship, and Toddlers Tango, which gives toddlers an opportunity to dance, play music and develop eye-hand coordination and motor skills.

New adult classes include Digital Scrapbooking and Advanced Ballroom Dance.  Everyday Design, also new this spring, focuses on the basics of interior design and shows that good design is fun and easy...with just a little bit of know how.

The Kid's Camps Fly Away Friday, Kid Quest, the Gifted and Talented Lyceum and the Chickasaw Art Academy will return this spring. Swim classes for both kids and adults are available at the McBride Pool, part of the Tommy Hewett M.D. Wellness Center in the University Center.

Several yoga classes will be offered, including Yoga for Golfers, Beginner's Yoga and Gentle Yoga, as well as many other classes in the arts, dance, fitness and pet care.

The spring 2008 Continuing Education schedule is now available on the ECU campus in Room 115 of Fentem Hall or in the Admissions & Records Office, Room 111 in the Administration Building, and at Wal-Mart. Schedules also can be found online atwww.ecok.edu/continuing_ed. For more information, contact the Community Education Program or Charlee Lanis at 580-559-5457.
