ADA – Four classes called “Making Social Media Work for You”, presented by Maira Moraes Ollila and Dr. Pat Fountain, are being offered at East Central University, Dec. 16-17.
The classes are for those who want to put social media to work, building relationships with customers and clients in order to increase revenue. Those who attend will learn how to make social media work for their organization, through one class session or all four.
“Into to Social Media” is being offered on Monday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. “Social Media in Organizational Strategy and Branding” will also be held Dec. 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
On Dec. 17, “The Science of Engagement and Connection in Social Media’ is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon and ‘Measure of Success in Social Media’ is set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. that same day.
Ollila, who obtained her degree from ECU in 2007 and was named a School of Business Distinguished Graduate, is associate program manager, marketing, Latin America for Liberty Mutual Insurance.
Fountain is holder of ECU’s Boswell Endowed Professorship and is director of the Oscar Parker Center for the Advancement of Ethical Standards in Business and Society. Fountain also serves as ECU’s Director of Service Learning. He is advisor of several student organizations and is secretary of the ECU Alumni Association.
