In the Fall, ECU Director of Bands, Dr. Nick Meyers, made his annual trip to Indianapolis with 11 ECU students who attended the Percussive Arts Society International Conference (PASIC).
PASIC is the world’s largest percussion conference. During the 4-day event, percussionists, publishers and percussion instrument companies come together to present their products, perform on concerts and recitals, give masterclasses, and much more based around percussion.

Following the trip to Indianapolis, 12 ECU students participated in the Jan. 2025 Oklahoma Music Educators Association (OkMEA) Intercollegiate Honor Band in Tulsa, Okla.
This annual event brings students from across the state who participate in a College or University band program. Students are nominated by their band directors(s) to participate. This year, there were students from over 15 institutions from across Oklahoma.
