ADA, Okla. – East Central University President Wendell Godwin has announced the names of the students accepted into the President’s Leadership Class (PLC) for the 2024-25 academic school year.
PLC is one of the university’s premier freshmen scholarship programs made up of high potential students who demonstrate leadership skills in high school.
Each year, 20 to 25 students are selected for the program. Members of PLC have opportunities to interact with campus, community and state leaders, as well as the opportunity to volunteer at local schools and other events. They also travel to major U.S. cities to expand their knowledge on leadership and civic engagement.
“I am excited to announce the 24 ECU students who have been selected for the 2024 President’s Leadership Class,” said Godwin. “PLC allows me the opportunity to work personally with each of these promising students. I teach their leadership and ethics classes, accompany them on a class trip to Washington DC this fall, and support the students as they navigate their college experience. This program has proven to be a rewarding experience for everyone involved.”
