East Central University senior Liv Cummins, student athlete and ECU Political Science and Legal Studies double major, was admitted to the University of Oklahoma College of Law for the Fall 2023 semester.
The Pontotoc County Bar Association sponsored the ECU women’s basketball game Feb. 23. To celebrate, many local attorneys attended the Senior Night game, including Pontotoc County Bar Association President Nick Thurman.
OU College of Law Dean Kathleen Guzman attended to honor a future student. Executive director of Development at OU Foundation Michelle Stephens came as well.
ECU Legal Studies Director Jenna Owens is a graduate of both ECU and OU College of Law. The Legal Studies program has graduated over 70 students in the last 20 years who have become attorneys. Currently, the program has a 100% law school acceptance rate.
