East Central University student Morgan Harper (center) is the recipient of the new Bob Bennett Fine Arts Scholarship. The scholarship is named in memory of ECU alum Bob Bennett, who practiced law for 50 years and was an avid guitarist. Harper is a junior sacred music major from Comanche. The centennial scholarship comes from donations made by friends and family of Bennett. Also pictured are: Phyllis Danley (left), executive director of the East Central University Foundation, and Sally Bennett, widow of Bob Bennett. Both Sally and Bob earned bachelor’s degrees from ECU and Bob received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma.
