The East Central University Department of Music will present the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble Midwinter Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Ataloa Theatre of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.
The symphonic band will be under the direction of Dr. Ben Finley, while the wind ensemble will be directed by Dr. Allen Correll.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The Wind Ensemble will perform “Bayou Breakdown” (2004) by Brant Karrick; “Sheltering Sky” (2012) by John Mackey; “Fairest of the Fair” (1908/1978) by John Philip Sousa, arranged by Frederick Fennell and conducted by Rick Street and “Apollo Unleashed” (2004, third movement, symphony No. 2) by Frank Tichele.
