Love Theory is thrilled to present Success Bell 23 to Momentum Campus
Ministry at East Central University. This moment is especially meaningful for Tyson Brown and Christy
Brown, as it brings a Success Bell to their beloved alma mater.
Wyatt Brown, their youngest son, had a dream that the students of Ada High would be seen and loved. He
wanted others to be celebrated, and one day, inspired by a Kanakuk summer camp tradition, he came up with an
idea called the “Success Bell”.
At the beginning of the year 2021, he met with the school administration and the teachers to get this bell
approved but sadly passed away before he saw it implemented. In a letter to Mr. Maloy, Ada High Principal,
from Wyatt, he simply wrote, “Success comes in all forms, and I believe we don’t celebrate each other enough.”
Today, the very first bell sits in front of the Ada High library and students ring the bell when they have
moments of success. Christy has shown up daily walking the same halls her son Wyatt once did. She teaches
Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, and FCCLA programs at Ada High School. She was recently named as the Ada
City Schools District Teacher of the Year.
She shares not just knowledge, but her heart with her students and promotes Wyatt’s Legacy through Love
Theory and the Success Bell.
Love Theory was designed by Wyatt Brown in 2021. After he passed, his family created a 501(c)3 to teach and
restore the fundamentals of love to students and young adults. A t-shirt was made, and a way of life was
formed. Ever since then, they have sold over 2,000 Love Theory merchandise nationwide.
Success Bell 23 was presented by the family to Janey Thomas, Campus Minister at Momentum Campus
Ministry. Thomas, also an ECU alumnus, has served with the Momentum campus ministry for more than 10
years and leads the university and community as a pillar of the ministry. She is expected to receive the 2025
Distinguished Service Award during the Evening of Honors and Recognition ceremony, May 16.
Momentum Campus Ministry has a vision of nothing less to uplift and transform every student they meet, and
to help them become a beacon of faith, and a leader for the church. “To Connect, Invest, and Serve...that’s our
mission, And Love is our calling. Wyatt answered that and was a shining light to all.
” Janey shared.
ECU Staff, students, faculty, and alumni are encouraged to stop by and ring the bell whenever something
positive happens to them, no matter the occasion, to be celebrated and seen.
The Momentum Campus Ministry is located on the corner of 12th & Francis, across from the ECU
Administration Building.
