A free family night at the Wintersmith Park pool and splash park will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 17 [THURSDAY]. The event is a project of Smart Start South Central, an early childhood initiative based at East Central University.
"One of Smart Start's goals is to help foster quality family time. This event should give parents who work during the day a chance to relax and play at the pool and splash park," said Trish Little, community coordinator for Smart Start South Central.
Each family who comes to Splash Night at the park must register at the front entrance to the Wintersmith pool. A parent must be present with the children, and no children will be allowed to enter if they have been dropped off at the pool and are not with an adult. The first 150 swimmers will be allowed to participate.
