Two East Central University students returned home this semester from studying abroad in France in the fall. Not long after their return, a fellow student from University of Limoges in Limoges, France, followed them to ECU to study this spring.

Shelby Baker, a management major from Bristow, and Kelsey Mader, a marketing major from Shawnee, earned a Global Business Certificate from their travels, along with a degree from the University of Limoges.

Coralie Chlagou, from Limoges, began studying at ECU in January. Since her arrival, Chlagou has seen quite a bit of what the region offers. She’s explored around Ada, went to Sulphur for a wine tasting, attended a Thunder game and checked out Bricktown. Chlagou also had a chance to visit the Oklahoma State Capitol for Higher Education Day.

One of the biggest differences has been how spread out it is around here.

“In Limoges, we can walk to everything,” she said. “Limoges is more dense. Here, you need a car to get to Walmart.”
