ADA, Okla. – The much-anticipated return of East Central University’s Tiger Tangles has arrived and will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre located inside the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

This event is open to the public, general admission tickets are $5 and are on sale now at ecok.edu/tiger-tangles.

"This year we have three great independent judges who will be scoring each of the acts based on performance, showmanship, performance quality, and overall effect. The judges combined scores will be totaled to determine the winners in each of the categories.” stated Jamie Davis, technical director and events coordinator for the HBFFAC who played a significant role in the return of Tiger Tangles. “The Overall Winner will be the act who has the highest total combined score from the Category Winners. The wild card here will be the Crowd Choice award. This can be any one of the 20 entries and will be awarded to the act who receives the most audience votes at the end of the competition."

The origin of Tiger Tangles goes as far back as the 1950’s under different names. However, the talent show found new life when it was rechristened with the title Tiger Tangles in the early 1960’s. It then quickly became a cherished staple on the ECU campus. This new take on Tiger Tangles will see a piece of ECU history brought to 2024 for a new generation of Tigers to experience and enjoy.
