ADA, Okla. – Tiger Tangles returned to East Central University for Part Deux last week, marking the second consecutive year of the iconic events return after a decade’s long absence.
The once popular talent show returned in 2024 to much fanfare and high attendance from current students and alumni. This year’s event exceeded the previous year’s attendance by filling the Ataloa Theatre will an estimated 1,000 attendees.
Director for the Department of Event Management, Jamie Davis, and his team, along with ECU staff, faculty and student volunteers, organized and oversaw the event.
20 different acts performed in four separate categories with first, second and third place being awarded to each based on results from three impartial judges. An overall winner was also chosen by the judges and a crowd choice winner was voted on by those in attendance.

Crowd Choice Winner:
The Prozac Boys
The participants ranged from years of stage experience to first time performers, and everything in between. A number of acts from last years Tiger Tangles returned with many new faces gracing the stage. Many performances were music centric with solo songs, group songs, guitar solos. However, skits, comedy and dance routines added variety to the event.
