Thousands of high school marching band members will take to East Central University’s Norris Field at Koi Ishto Stadium for the annual Tigerpalooza Band Contest, Saturday, Oct. 15, at 12:30 p.m. Tigerpalooza was organized in 2010 in memory of Bron Warren. Proceeds from the marching band contest go to provide a scholarship to an outstanding student in instrumental music at ECU. This photo is from 2015 as members of the Warren family pose with members of the winning Deer Creek High School band. Admission to the contest is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 7-12. Children, 6-and-under, are free. Among the schools scheduled to participate in this year’s event are: Hilldale, Cleveland, Elgin, Shawnee, Durant, Del City, Ardmore, Duncan, Deer Creek, Norman North, Putnam City West, Westmoore, Charles Page (Sand Springs) and Putnam City.
