FRONTIER BRASS BAND TO PERFORM SATURDAY, AUG. 22, AT ECU

The Frontier Brass Band is conducting a free concert Saturday, Aug. 22, at 7:30 p.m. at East Central University’s Ataloa Theatre inside the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center. Outstanding brass and percussion players from central Oklahoma comprise the group, including many of the symphony musicians. Much of their repertoire is from the British brass band tradition. The group was formed a year and half ago and its first performance was conducted by ECU’s own Dr. Allen Correll. The concert is a good opportunity for area musicians and high school band students.
